It does! Long-life full cream milk generally contains more vitamin A than skim milk because vitamin A is carried in the fat.
Long-life (UHT) full cream milk has more vitamin A than skim milk in general. Vitamin A is fat-soluble and found in the cream, removing the fat removes the vitamin A. With skim milk, most of that fat is removed along with the naturally occurring vitamin A. Some skim milk brands fortify with vitamin A after the fat removal process to restore the nutritional value.
This is true for any form of milk whether it’s fresh, long-life (UHT), powdered or condensed – any milk that has had most of its fat removed, will contain less vitamin A than full cream milk.
