Picasso Cows Program

Terms & Conditions
  1. This is a skills-based program that commences on the date outlined via email. 
  2. Entry in the program is free, however schools must cover the freight cost to deliver the fiberglass cow directly to the school. Cost to the school is $300 plus GST, to be invoiced by Dairy Australia. 
  3. To be eligible to participate, primary schools must first complete the registration form and accompanying terms and conditions from Dairy Australia, hereafter, “the Program Manager”.  
  4. The relevant teacher/school representative from each primary school must complete the official registration form and acknowledge acceptance of these terms and conditions. It is the responsibility of the relevant teacher/school representative submitting the official registration form and terms and conditions to obtain all necessary consents in writing from parents of pupils participating in the Picasso Cows program. 
  5. The completed official registration form and terms and conditions must be filled in via the online form. 
  6. All schools invited to register must complete registration forms and make payment by registration deadline in order to participate in the program.
  7. Each eligible participant will receive a blank, fiberglass cow and a digital copy of the Picasso Cows Curriculum Guide. The assessment tasks in the curriculum guide must be completed by primary school age children, guided by teachers.

  9. Ownership for the blank, life-sized fiberglass cow transfers to each respective primary school as of the date of delivery. The Program Manager reserves the right to request that schools loan their cow on a short-term loan basis and without fee or charge, for use in promotional events or public display. Participants who have not commenced the program by week 5 of the program will be required to return the cow to Dairy Australia at their own cost or pay the value of the cow (approx. $1200 AUD).
  10. A Curriculum Guide will be provided to all eligible Participants which will outline the following:
    1. All the program work must be submitted to the Program Manager for assessment by the dates outlined in the Picasso Cows member’s dashboard. Assessment tasks are to be submitted online via the dashboard only.
    2. Any program work that is not submitted via the dashboard by the final submission deadline outlined in the dashboard will not be judged. 
    3. Each entry is individually judged by a panel of independent assessors and the winning schools will be the schools that have the highest overall aggregate score and the highest aggregate score for the cow and learning journal submitted.
    4. The winning schools will be announced on the Discover Dairy website and via email.  All winners will be notified by a phone call and an email will be sent out to all Eligible Participants stating the winning entries, and include individual program scorecards and judges notes.
    5. The top three schools with the highest aggregate score will be awarded prizes chosen at Dairy Australia’s Discretion to the value of:  Overall Champion - $2,000, Best Learning Journal - $1,000, Best Cow Design - $1,000. Teachers will also receive an editable certificate template for students. In some instances, Dairy Australia may award ‘Special Mention’ prizes to schools.
    6. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable.
  11. By choosing to participate in the Program, Eligible Participants acknowledge and agree that, where liability cannot be excluded by law, neither the Program Manager nor Dairy Australia Limited shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered or incurred (included but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of the Eligible Participant participating in the program.
  12. Each Eligible Participant further acknowledges that the Program Manager shall collect information about the Eligible Participant and personal information on participating students and teachers in order to conduct the Program and agrees this information may be used in any media format for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any reference, payment or other compensation being made or paid. Without limiting the generality of the forgoing, by agreeing to participate, the Eligible Participant warrants that they have obtained all necessary consents in writing for the use by Dairy Australia and its affiliates of any and all photographs and/or other digital imagery submitted as part of the program from all persons (or their guardians, as appropriate) appearing in such photographs and/or digital imagery. Dairy Australia shall be at liberty to use and to publish any and all photographs and/or digital imagery submitted as it may choose in its absolute discretion and the Eligible Participant acknowledges and agrees that it shall submit only those photographs and/or digital imagery where consents from all persons appearing in the same have been formally granted in writing for the purposes aforementioned.
  13. Each Eligible Participant warrants that the following statement will be included in the consent form provided to participating students and teachers: “Dairy Australia collects, stores, uses, discloses and otherwise handles your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and as otherwise set out in Dairy Australia’s privacy policy.
  14. The Program Manager accepts no responsibility for and shall incur no liability in respect of any tax implications that may arise from the award of monetary prizes for the program. Independent financial advice should be sought by all recipients of such prize.
