The fat content will depend on which variety of lactose-free milk is chosen.

Lactose-free milk contains an enzyme called lactase that helps break down the natural sugar in milk (lactose).

This process does not alter the fat content of the milk. Fat content depends on whether the milk is a regular fat or reduced fat variety, so a regular fat lactose-free milk will contain more fat than a reduced fat variety of lactose-free. Lactose-free milk is available in both regular fat and reduced fat varieties.

Regardless of the fat content, both lite and full fat dairy foods are not linked to overweight or obesity. In fact, when these foods are included as part of a calorie controlled diet, they can help with weight loss.
