Millers Ice Creamery

Located on the periphery of the Margaret River area, Millers Ice Creamery in Cowaramup is a must-visit for all the family.

Trish and Paul Miller, third generation dairy farmers took up the challenge of diversifying their offering into ice cream production in 2010. Although they no longer run the dairy farm, as of 2020, their ice creamery is surrounded by dairy pastures with 100% of the milk supplied by local farms.

The ice creamery is a scenic place to relax while enjoying a scoop (or two) of one of their 26 delicious ice cream flavours. Adults can also enjoy a break with a farm-fresh scoop and a coffee while the kids blow off steam in the playground.

Margaret River Chocolate Company

A must for any sweet tooth – the Margaret River Chocolate Company is a chocolate lovers dream, not to mention they offer free tastings for all the family.

Come and see the professional Chocolatiers hand craft award-winning chocolates through the Chocolate Viewing Window or simply enjoy a coffee in the Chocolate Cafe and indulge with a slice of fresh house-made cakes.

Yallingup Cheese Company

Yallingup Cheese has been producing an artisan range of Cow and Goat cheese since 2015.

The cheesemakers at Yallingup are passionate about working with locally sourced dairy to craft their cheeses with their main sources being Scapegoat Dairy and Margaret River Organic creamery.

The Yallingup Cheese Company Cheese Room is the perfect destination to relax and experience Margaret River produce at its finest. Guests are invited to sit outside overlooking the beautiful lake and enjoy a seasonal platter of cheese paired with a delicious glass of wine.

Margaret River Dairy Company

The Margaret River Dairy Company is an icon of the community, proudly crafting gourmet cheese and yoghurts for everyone to enjoy.

Their story began in 1966 when a group of Italian artisan cheesemakers began selling their farmhouse ricotta cheeses in a small store in suburban Perth. They moved to the South west over 30 years ago to be even closer to the rich soils and green pastures loved by dairy cattle.

Simmo's Ice Creamery

Established in 2002, Margaret River Farmers' Market has been working hard to bring the freshest seasonal food directly from farmers and producers to the local community.

Harvey Cheese

Harvey Cheese is a family owned and operated business, specialising in making gourmet cheese to time-honoured methods using only the freshest, creamiest milk. As well as offering their artisan handmade cheeses to buy in the shop you can book a cheesemaking class and learn from Head Cheesemaker, Robert St Duke. The classes are great fun and you can take home the cheese you make as well as notes and materials about the cheeses. This is a must stop for cheese lovers on the South Western Highway on your way from Perth to Margaret River.

Bannister Downs Dairy

Founded in 1924 in Northcliffe by pioneers Edith & James Daubney, Bannister Downs Dairy Farm was named after Edith, whose maiden name was Bannister. Nearly a century later, the farm is still family owned and now managed by their grandson, Mat and his wife Sue.

Mat and Sue are devoted to creating a place where the team are proud to belong, the welfare of their cows is paramount, and their product is processed to achieve the highest possible quality. All aspects of energy use have been designed to minimise waste, as they make every effort to look after our environment.

Bannister Downs have an onsite café so can welcome visitors to see the facility in production firsthand, as well as enjoy a coffee, cake or light meal.

Crow Bar Cottage Cowaramup

Built in 2019 to take in views across the neighbouring farm land. You can walk to the coffee shops and stunning dairy region of Cowaramup, yet feel like you are away from crowds.

Just a short bike ride to the Wadandi Track- you could even cycle to Margaret River and back. Close to wineries and a 10 minute drive to the coast. A very central location to all that this corner of the south west offers without the hustle and bustle.

Cullen Wines Homestead
