Master mashed potato with a twist with this easy recipe.

Ingredients

3 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
300g sweet potato, peeled and chopped
25g butter, chopped
1/4 cup milk, warmed
1/3 cup grated swiss-style cheese
Handy Tips
Try mixing in a little stewed apple for youngsters not too keen on mash.

Method

  1. Boil, steam or microwave potatoes separately until tender. Drain, if required.
  2. Place both types of potatoes in one saucepan and cook over low heat, shaking saucepan to evaporate excess moisture.
  3. Remove from heat and mash until smooth. Add butter, milk and cheese and stir with a wooden spoon until creamy.

  1. *Substitute the orange sweet potato with pumpkin or carrot
