Are there mRNA ingredients in any vaccinations given to cows?
There are currently no mRNA vaccinations or mRNA ingredients used in vaccinations given to cattle in Australia.
Vaccines play an important role in protecting dairy cattle and preventing disease. Vaccines stimulate the immune system to make antibodies against a specific virus or bacteria. There are some diseases that every dairy farm will vaccinate against because they occur commonly. For other diseases (that occur sporadically), farms will vaccinate depending on the risk level for a particular disease.
Some vaccines are given to cows prior to calving, so that their colostrum will provide better, more specific, immunity to their calves. To stimulate the immune system, the vaccines given to cattle in Australia contain viruses or bacteria that have been treated so that they won't make animals sick. There are no mRNA vaccinations currently being used in Australian cattle.
