This classic cobbler is perfect for when you want to whip up a weeknight sweet treat. It uses just a few pantry staples, no fancy equipment and comes together in a matter of minutes.
Ingredients
4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and chopped
1 tablespoon water
3/4 cup self raising flour
2 tablespoons caster sugar
60g butter, melted
2 tablespoons milk
1 egg
vanilla ice cream and fresh berries, to serve

Method
- Place the apple and water in a microwave proof dish, cover and microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes or until cooked and tender. Spoon into an ovenproof dish.
- Beat the flour, sugar, butter, milk and egg together with a wooden spoon until smooth and combined. Spoon over apples and bake at 180°C oven for 25-35 minutes or until cooked and golden. Stand for 5 minutes before serving with ice cream and berries.
