It's hard to resist this retro classic! With its crisp exterior and melty centre, its a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients

500g camembert cheese
2 tablespoons plain flour
1 egg, beaten
50g flaked almonds mixed with 1 1/2 cups fresh breadcrumbs
butter, for frying
cranberry sauce, for serving

Method

  1. Cut camembert into 18 small wedges.
  2. Coat in flour, egg, then breadcrumb mixture. Dip in egg and crumbs again. Chill well.
  3. Fry in butter until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper and serve with cranberry sauce.
