Australian Grand Dairy Awards Print

An Australian Grand Dairy Award represents quality, excellence and innovation in Australian dairy produce. The Australian Grand Dairy Awards are the ‘best of the best’. Only products that have won a gold medal in state qualifying shows are eligible to enter this prestigious national competition. Australian Grand Dairy Awards comprise of 18 product classes, grouped into two categories - Cheese and Dairy Products. The winner of each class is awarded a gold Champion medal. The two highest scoring products across classes in both the Cheese and Dairy Product categories are then awarded a Grand Champion royal blue medal.

The Australian Grand Dairy Award gold and royal blue medals assist consumers to identify the ‘best of the best’ and represent quality and good taste in Australia’s world class dairy products. So look for the medals on packaging of the winning products.

2009 Judging Details 

Judging for the 2009 Australian Grand Dairy Awards will be held in Melbourne, at the offices of Dairy Australia.   Dairy Products will be judged on Friday 7th November and Cheese Judging will be on Wednesday 12th November 2008. 

2008 Judging Details

2008 Judging was held in November at the offices of Dairy Australia in Southbank, Melbourne.

Dairy Product Judging was on Friday 9th November and Cheese Judging on Wednesday 14th November. The 2008 winners were announced on Tuesday 5th February 2008, at a prestigious dairy industry event which was attended by farmers, industry bodies, retailers, manufacturers, key opinion leaders and media.
