My passion for the lifestyle and wanting to be my own boss drew me back to the area as
a Share Farmer.
I now lease a property with a total of 180 cows. To improve my skills I have undertaken
on-the-job training as well as several short courses.
The herringbone dairy milks 130 cows per hour. There has been about a 35% increase in
production since I started in the industry. I get a chance to go on holidays a couple
of times throughout the year.
There are huge opportunities in the dairy industry because industry pathways allow young
people to build a career whilst gaining qualifications.
