PROFILE OF A JOURNALIST/PUBLIC RELATIONS

Lisa has worked as a journalist with a range of regional and rural papers covering different topics. She was editor of the Country News, a widely circulated weekly paper focusing on the agricultural industries in the Goulburn Murray region.

She grew up in country town before deciding that practical training as a journalist was her preferred career option than completing her study at university. She hopes to complete the Bachelor of Arts course sometime in the future.

Two years ago, Lisa commenced her own business consulting in media and public relations. Her clients cover a range of organizations in the agriculture and natural resource management areas. Lisa works with the clients to improve their communication with various stakeholders and to promote the work of the organization in the local communities.

Lisa sees great opportunity in the continued growth of the dairy industry with larger farms and more employment opportunities in these large enterprises.
