HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER
A Human Resource (HR) Manager assists companies and organisations to develop and
implement policies relating to staff recruitment, industrial relations, training
and development of staff.
A HR Manager may:
- Interview prospective staff
- Plan and conduct training courses
- Assist operational staff guide and counsel employees
- Negotiate remuneration packages
SCOPE:
Human Resource Managers are usually employed by larger organisations and companies.
In some situations they act as internal consultants to the management team while in
other cases they may specialize in one or more areas of Human Resource Management.
COURSES AND TRAINING:
Generally people entering the Human Resource field have completed a degree in
business management or related disciplines. Studies can be done at many universities
or TAFE Institutes.
