PROFILE OF A TECHNOLOGIST APPLICATION MANAGER
Trevor grew up in a Victorian country town and joined the local dairy factory as
laboratory assistant after completing Year 12. As part of his work with Murray
Goulburn Co-op, Trevor worked at different factories around the state while studying
part time the Diploma of Dairy Technology. The roles covered production work as well
as laboratory and quality work. This experience gave Trevor a good understanding of
the range and variety of products made from milk.
Trevor moved to Perth to join Peter Brownes (WA) as QA Officer in the icecream division.
From this role, he moved into research and development of new frozen products and
traveled to Singapore for training.
In 1998, he was seconded to work with Fraser and Neave in Singapore to assist with the
installation of a liquid filling plant and then established an R&D Department for
icecream in Kuala Lumpur.
Trevor now works as an Application Manager for Givaudan- Roure, a company that sells
flavors to the dairy industry across the SE Asian region. He trains staff in the use
of flavours and helps clients establish laboratory facilities to trial new products.
