PROFILE OF A PRODUCTION MANAGER
Richard grew up in the country and wanted to work in a science related area. He was
offered a traineeship with the Bonlac Foods Camperdown. During his time in the
industry, Richard has covered a range of roles across production, laboratory and
quality assurance. He has worked in production units specialising in UHT, cheese,
pasteurised milk and butter.
Richard has been Technical Manager for a site. This involved managing two laboratories
and associated staff, improving the focus on product quality and quality systems.
Richard has continued to study and has completed the Associate Diploma of Dairy
Technology.
Richard now works with Warrnambool Cheese and Butter Company as Production Manager.
The plant makes cheese for Kraft Foods and other companies under contract. Richard
also manages the pasteurized milk packing and butter operations of the company.
