PROFILE OF A FINANCIAL ADVISER - RURAL SECTOR
Brock grew up on a small beef property in Tasmania. His grandparents farmed a
large property in the Fingal Valley. Brock always felt strongly that he wanted to
work in the agriculture sector. After year 10, he left school and completed a Rural
Traineeship and then Dairy Apprenticeship in Burnie. He also completed a National
Wool Classing Certificate.
From Tasmania, Brock moved to Glenormiston College in western Victoria and studied
for a Advanced Diploma of Applied Science in Farm Management. Brock plans to
undertake further studies in Agribusiness.
In early 2001, Brock commenced work as a Rural Finance Advisor for a large bank
in Tasmania. He says he always has wanted to work with the rural sector and believes
the future of the dairy industry is very positive.
