World renowned landscape photographer Ken Duncan, grew up in the bush with an abiding respect for the land and those who lived on it. So when the opportunity came up to portray the life and times of dairy farmers across the nation, he was immediately enthused. Ken travelled from the Illawarra, where dairying began in the 1820s, to the pristine pastures of King Island, documenting numerous facets of farm and family life. He assembled some of Australia’s greatest photographers to share the dairy story, from the rugged beauty of Margaret River and the Tasmanian wilderness to the misty valleys of historic Tilba Tilba and the stunning hinterland of the Great Ocean Road in Victoria.
The results of this venture are a prestigious book and calendar - both a fitting tribute to the people who live and work in the dairy landscape.
The book is a glossy hard cover production featuring striking dairying and scenic landscapes. The Spirit of Australian Dairy calendar, presented in a financial year format, comprises a selection of images from the book.
